Ben Flatgard is Executive Director for Cybersecurity with JPMorgan Chase & Co. In this role, he leads policy development and advocacy, as well as partnership initiatives, to improve the cybersecurity of the firm, its customers and clients, and the broader digital ecosystem.
Ben previously served in the Obama Administration from 2009-2017. In his most recent post as Director for Cybersecurity Policy on the National Security Council, Ben was responsible for leading policy cybersecurity development related to protection of critical infrastructure and emerging technologies. Before joining the National Security Council, Ben served as Senior Advisor for the Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Financial Institutions. Prior to his time at Treasury, Ben held positions at the Department of Commerce and the White House.
Ben received his Masters of Arts in Politics from the University of Edinburgh. He holds fellowships at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC, and at the University of Sydney.
