Daniel Hochman is a 2023 Millennium fellow and the head of sustainability research at Bridgewater Associates. Hochman is responsible for driving Bridgewater’s understanding of the intersection of environmental and social sustainability, economies, and financial markets; as well as creating portfolios to achieve both investment and sustainability goals. He has been an investor and researcher since joining Bridgewater in 2011 and serves on the firm’s sustainable investing committee.

Hochman is a member of the Investment Leaders Group at Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership; a member of the data working group of the Sustainable Development Indicators Asset Owner Platform; and a founding member of FLORET, a multi-stakeholder initiative designed to transform institutional investor access to and use of reliable forced labor risk data that began in the Brookings Institution Center for Sustainable Development 17 Rooms program. He was included on the Forbes 30 under 30 list for finance in 2019. Hochman graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in history.
