
Eduardo Coello

Eduardo Coello is an advisory council member at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center. He is chairman of Visa Latin America and the Caribbean, where he leads strategic engagement with government officials and industry leaders across the region and advises on leadership, talent development, and the scaling of operating models.
Coello joined Visa more than two decades ago and served as regional president for Latin America and the Caribbean from 2015 to 2025, overseeing operations across forty-four markets and territories. Under his leadership, Visa expanded its regional presence with eight new offices in Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, and Puerto Rico. Previously, he served as senior vice president for Visa Latin America and the Caribbean, overseeing business development and client relationships in the Caribbean, Andean, Central America, and South Cone regions. He also served as country manager for Visa Mexico and held previous roles at Procter & Gamble and Bancomer Mexico.
Coello holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa and a degree in mechanical engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico.
