Ivan Ferrari

Ivan Ferrari is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center, where his research examines artificial intelligence, energy, and geopolitics, with sovereign AI as a core focus. He is the founder and author of Sovereign Compute, an independent research publication on the geopolitics and economics of AI infrastructure, compute capacity, and energy demand, and he serves as UAE ambassador for the Global Blockchain Business Council.

Ferrari is vice president of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference and business development at dmg events, where he co-leads one of the world’s largest energy industry platforms and develops programs at the intersection of energy systems, compute, and industrial transformation, including AIxEnergy, a curated platform at the intersection of AI, energy, and infrastructure. He previously led global business development and Web3 research at Elevandi, a nonprofit established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to advance fintech and digital economy policy, and held senior leadership roles across major international technology and energy platforms in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. His earlier career spanned more than twenty-five years in global industry convening, government engagement, and commercial strategy.

Ferrari holds a master’s degree in finance and management from Bocconi University in Milan and a certificate in contemporary art from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. An Italian national based in Dubai, he speaks Italian, English, and Spanish, with working knowledge of German.
