Jinchen is an associate at Pollination Group, a climate finance advisory and investment firm. She leads the firm’s work on leveraging public and private capital to accelerate coal-to-clean energy transitions in emerging markets. She has also played key roles in the design, setup, and operation of landmark green banks, blended finance vehicles, and private finance initiatives, with the goal of mobilizing billions towards climate finance.

Prior to Pollination, Jinchen spent two and half years at McKinsey, working across public, private, and social sectors on strategy. There, she created a strategy for a $4 billion climate investment fund to accelerate the development of critical decarbonization technologies, worked with stakeholders to scale the voluntary carbon markets, and advised cities and federal agencies on climate risk and resilience. She helped build the firm’s capabilities in sustainability, corporate purpose, and environmental, social, and governance standards.

Jinchen holds a bachelor of arts in economics and global affairs from Yale University.
