Kate Dunbar is a 2024 Millennium fellow and the head of macro research at Bridgewater Associates. Dunbar and her team are responsible for building and overseeing the firm’s understanding of growth, inflation and the associated pressure on policymakers. Dunbar also runs a perception workstream which enables Bridgewater to stay abreast of what’s going on in the financial world. She works directly with the firm’s chief investment officers and investment committee to integrate the firm’s macro outlook with its market views across asset classes. Dunbar is the youngest member of the group of primary authors published in Bridgewater Daily Observations, the firm’s daily research publication. Dunbar was a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for finance in 2023 and is an Economic Club of New York fellow. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2017 with a degree in English literature.
