Lauren Fenley is a 2022 Atlantic Council Millennium fellow and a project engineer within the Aerospace Systems Engineering directorate at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems. She is responsible for leading the planning and execution of engineering tasks on advanced technology projects supporting weapons programs. Fenley served eight years as a US Army engineer officer, where she deployed twice to Afghanistan and served in a variety of leadership roles culminating in company command. She has bachelor’s degrees in Arabic and comparative politics from the US Military Academy and a master’s degree in engineering management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Fenley is also a certified project management professional.
