Energy & EnvironmentLizeth, a native of Saltillo, Mexico and alumna of ITESM, UVM, Yale, and Georgetown, is a specialist in solving complex development problems in challenging environments. She previously served in the economic productivity unit of the Mexican Ministry of Finance, working to help improve market conditions and business opportunities. As a consultant at the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, she helped craft macro-level policy fostering the conditions for a flourishing private sector. From her roots in a developing country, her recent work in the entrepreneurial world is deeply personal; her motivation as a co-founder of her latest venture, New Use Energy, is to bring affordable clean portable energy systems to emerging markets and make the clean energy revolution accessible to all. In her time off, Liz might be performing with her Mexican Folklore dance group or traveling in search of new adventure.
