United States and CanadaMatthew Rhodes is a 2024 Millennium fellow and vice president in the Office of Government Affairs at Goldman Sachs. He covers US elections and politics, as well as a range of issues with Congress, regulators, and the executive branch. Previously, he worked closely with the executive vice president and secretary to the board of directors of Goldman Sachs on issues within the firm’s corporate communications, government affairs, investor relations, and corporate engagement offices. In 2020, Rhodes helped launch the 10,000 Small Businesses Voices initiative, which helps business owners advocate for policy changes that help their businesses, employees, and communities. Earlier in his career, he was an associate director of the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to that, he was a teacher in New Orleans through Notre Dame’s ACE Teaching Fellows Program. Rhodes has a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame.
