SpanishOlivia Torres is a project assistant at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center, where she focuses on the global proliferation of responsible artificial intelligence (AI) and has a particular interest in emerging AI and space technologies that advance social and economic development for women in Latin America and around the world.
Torres joined the GeoTech Center after completing an internship with the Atlantic Council as a young global professional. She has previously worked as a research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a socioeconomic impact evaluation intern for Fundación En Vía in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Torres received her bachelor’s degree in international relations–political science and Latin American studies from Wellesley College.
