Poppy Hendrickson

Poppy Hendrickson is a program assistant at the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center, where she supports the center’s programming, publications, and convenings.

Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Hendrickson worked in cross-sector humanitarian relief in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In 2025, she graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College, where she majored in international relations and French. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad in the Nordic region and Aix-en-Provence, France. Hendrickson’s academic research focused on religious freedom, state-sanctioned violence, and the politics of regime change in the Central Sahel.
