As a senior economic advisor in the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) Regulatory and Economic Policy group, Rebecca works to ensure that API’s research is defensible and of the highest quality. Rebecca works across a variety of topic areas with API, leading research on employment and the future of work; education pathways; diversity, equity, inclusion, and social responsibility; carbon abatement and cost; liquefied natural gas (LNG) and crude oil exports; economic impacts; county development; and macroeconomic trends. Rebecca also works closely with teams across API on program development, grassroots outreach, and stakeholder engagement with BIPOC communities, women, veterans, labor unions, and other diverse allies, with a focus on workforce development and STEM education. She is an expert in the DrillingInfo and Rystad databases and provides GIS mapping services to all API departments.
Rebecca graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University (BYU). She also holds a master’s degree in public policy from BYU. Rebecca currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and two children.
