Middle EastSara Yassi is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow and a senior consultant and strategist with experience managing high-profile global events, initiatives, and policy projects. She plays a pivotal role in designing and executing leadership programs, policy events, and diplomatic engagements at major global convenings, including the UN General Assembly and summits for the Group of Seven, Group of Twenty, and UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties. She has supported strategic planning across climate, diplomacy, and international affairs, and has worked across Africa, the Gulf, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Yassi serves as strategic advisor on youth and climate at Faith For Our Planet and directs fellowships and leadership programs at Harvard and Duke University. Her wider work explores Pan-Africanism, cultural diplomacy, and the role of soft power in shaping global narratives. She is also a writer who explores belonging, faith and identity in her work. She conducted research for a year in Zanzibar, the Seychelles, and the Maldives, focusing on spiritual phenomena. Yassi holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and theology from the University of Oxford, where she served as access officer of the Oxford Union and championed accessibility and inclusion for underrepresented, low-income, and disabled students.
