Shilpi Kumar is a participant in the 2023 Climate Leadership Program of the Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program and a partner with Third Sphere, an investment platform focused on early-stage companies building climate solutions. Over the last decade, Kumar has worked with multiple notable early-stage funds, focusing on hardware, the Internet of Things, and robotics. She has deep hardware experience and experience in de-risking this category of startups after having spent time investing and company building in markets such as manufacturing, mobility, and construction.

Kumar currently sits on the board of Resonant Link (leading wireless charging technology for electric vehicles, consumer products and medical devices ) and Wasted (circular solution for human waste sanitation) and is a board observer for Climate Robotics (leveraging robotics and AI on carbon sequestration). Kumar graduated from Duke University with a degree in neuroscience and economics.
