Zack Baddorf is the director of strategic communications at the Atlantic Council. He is a national security and foreign policy practitioner with more than twenty years of experience tackling complex international issues on the frontlines of the world’s conflicts, including in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Central African Republic, Kashmir, and the West Bank.
He has led and executed projects for US Special Operations Command, US Central Command, the US Air Force, the US Navy, and the US Peace Corps, as well as various nongovernmental organizations and private companies.
As a foreign correspondent, Baddorf’s research and analysis has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, and many other publications. He co-founded the Military Veterans in Journalism nonprofit association and serves on its board of directors.
Baddorf has received multiple awards for his strategic initiatives, creative problem solving, and ability to manage crises.
