The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) General Jean-Paul Paloméros will address this year’s NATO Transformation Seminar (NTS) on March 25, 2015 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. This will be the first public address of the NATO Secretary General in the United States.
Organized by the Atlantic Council and Allied Command Transformation, this annual seminar brings together NATO’s leadership, including the North Atlantic Council and NATO’s Military Committee, along with key international security experts to consider the Alliance’s transformation efforts in a larger strategic context, and to help inform and discuss the way ahead for NATO’s transformation agenda.
As NATO implements the decisions of the 2014 Wales Summit, this seminar will provide a unique opportunity to initiate a discussion on medium and longer term perspectives and priorities to help begin shaping the 2016 Warsaw Summit agenda. The seminar’s agenda is designed to support a debate on how NATO can sustain readiness, develop strategies on hybrid warfare challenges, and shape the strategy used to address the diverse challenges on its eastern and southern periphery.
The seminar will be on-the-record and open to press on March 25 from 8:15 a.m. -10:00 a.m. A news conference with senior NATO officials will follow at 10:00 a.m. Only those accredited in advance will be admitted. Media wishing to cover the NTS should RSVP to press@AtlanticCouncil.org no later than 6:00 p.m. on March 24 and arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. on March 25 to receive their media passes. Please provide your full name and a list of the equipment that you will bring to the conference.
