After a summer of ups and downs in the nuclear negotiations, the fate of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) remains uncertain. Strenuous efforts by the European Union and Iran’s Arab neighbors to bridge gaps between the United States and Iran have failed to clinch a revival of the agreement and Iran continues to raise demands that go beyond the parameters of the JCPOA.

As Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi prepares to attend his first summit at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Atlantic Council’s Future of Iran Initiative invites you to a panel discussion on the prospects for the nuclear agreement and the strategies of Iran and other key players as the stalemate continues.

The discussion will be held via Zoom on September 15, 2022, from 12:30 – 2:00 pm ET. A link to the meeting will be sent to those who register to attend. The event is open to press and on-the-record.
