The Atlantic Council recently launched the investigative report Hiding in Plain Sight: Putin’s War in Ukraine. Using open source information, this new report proves that the war’s toll—more than 6,000 dead, tens of thousands wounded, and nearly 1.3 million displaced persons—is the direct result of Putin’s efforts to establish control over Ukraine. 

Hiding in Plain Sight continues to generate media attention on Putin’s actions in Ukraine and the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign. The report has already been downloaded over 35,000 times, and has been widely shared via Twitter with impressions reaching over 60 million users alone.
