The President of the European Investment Bank, Werner Hoyer, discusses how the EIB’s energy lending is helping to facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy, followed by a panel discussion on energy transitions.

Please join the Atlantic Council’s EuroGrowth Initiative on Thursday, October 17, for a public discussion on financing the energy transition with the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Werner Hoyer. The event will take place at the Atlantic Council’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

Mr. Hoyer will open the event with a keynote address to outline how the EIB’s energy lending is helping to facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy. Following the President’s remarks, an expert panel, including EIB Vice President Andrew McDowell, will discuss how multilateral financing can unlock greater energy efficiency, support the energy supply’s decarbonizing, and promote new types of energy infrastructure.
