Rolando Mattar is a 2023-2024 Veterans Advanced Energy fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center.

Mattar is a sales manager for EPC Power, a San Diego-based company that designs and manufactures power electronics in the United States, specializing in solar and energy storage, as well as power conversion solutions for project developers. In this role, Mattar supports the energy storage and power conversion market with strategic accounts in the United States and globally, working to expand EPC Power’s product and service offerings for utility, commercial, and industrial markets.

Mattar is an eight-year veteran of the US Army. During his service in the 1990s, he first gained exposure to the power generation industry as a power generation equipment repairer. While in the Army, he was awarded the Spanish language linguist identifier.

He holds an associate’s degree from Jefferson Community College and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Florida International University.
