Slavina Ancheva is a participant in the 2025 European Leadership Accelerator hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program. She is pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School as a Fulbright Bulgaria scholar and Belfer young leader. During her time at the Kennedy School, Ancheva is focusing on emerging technologies and their impact on democracy, serving as research assistant at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government and the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Prior to this, Ancheva worked in the European Parliament as a policy adviser and head of office for Member of the European Parliament Eva Maydell. Ancheva led Maydell’s work on the Artificial Intelligence Act, the world’s first-ever comprehensive law on AI. She also coordinated the efforts of a team based in both Brussels and Bulgaria and spearheaded the transatlantic efforts and engagements of Maydell. In Bulgaria, Ancheva is a co-founder of the nongovernmental organization Accessible World, which focuses on disability rights and the accessibility of public spaces.
