Leremy Colf is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center, specializing in overlapping areas of health, data, and disasters.
In addition to his work with the Atlantic Council, Colf is an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and holds the Donna L. Wong professorship in pediatric nursing at the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing. He is also a senior advisor and research liaison for health informatics with the OU Health hospital and healthcare system, a research analyst with the San Mateo County Department of Emergency Management, and a senior advisor with the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health in the US Department of Health and Human Services. In addition to his teaching roles, he researches the intersection of health policy and data, the health consequences of disasters, and data-driven decision-making in healthcare. He is also a senior fellow with the University of Oklahoma Center for Intelligence and National Security.
Colf has worked in health-related research, policy, and operations for more than twenty years. These roles involved using science, data, and evidence to improve preparedness and response for public health and medical disasters; threat characterization and bioterrorism defense; and developing data strategies at the federal and local levels. He holds a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the Stanford University School of Medicine and a BS in chemistry/biochemistry from the University of Arkansas.
