LithuanianGabrielius Landsbergis is a distinguished fellow with the Transatlantic Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. He previously served as the minister of foreign affairs in the eighteenth government of the Republic of Lithuania, under the leadership of Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.
He previously was the chairman of the Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats between 2015 and 2024. He served as a member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2016 and as a member of the Seimas (parliament) of Lithuania from 2016 to 2024.
Landsbergis has also served as a diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the grand duchy of Luxembourg, as well as at the Office of the Government.
