Pham on Maiduguri’s Christian Population

Christian Daily quotes Africa Center Director J. Peter Pham on the threat to the Christian population in Maiduguri, Nigeria from an attack by Boko Haram:

“They’ve done it everywhere else they’ve gone,” J. Peter Pham, director of the Africa Project at the Atlantic Council, said according to NBC News. “So why not Maiduguri?”

Pham believes that if Boko Haram successfully attacks Maiduguri, it will be truly hurt the Nigerian government.

“Even if they only raise the black flag only briefly, it will be a big blow to the central government,” Pham said.
