Sam Rothbardt is a program assistant at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, where he supports the Center’s digital communications. He is focused on effectively communicating the research to audiences through social media, blogs, newsletters, and external events.

Rothbardt joined the Atlantic Council in 2025 as a young global professional. Before that, he worked in various communications/engagement roles including with the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab and the Iowa House of Representatives.

Rothbardt holds a BA from Drake University where he majored in strategic political communications and law, politics, and society. He is pursing a master’s degree from American University in public administration.
