Politics & DiplomacyFederico Hoyos is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and Colombian political leader. Currently, he directs a private foundation focused on instilling values in youth and supporting nonprofit initiatives across Colombia. He previously served as ambassador to Canada and as a presidential counselor. In addition, he was among the youngest members of Congress from 2014 to 2018, where he championed initiatives on environmental sustainability and innovation. An active op-ed columnist in national and international media, Hoyos also sits on several boards, including the board of the Medellín Museum of Modern Art. As a guest lecturer, he explores development, corporate roles in public policy, and political communications at leading universities. Hoyos works to bridge the public, private, and social sectors to foster sustainable and inclusive development. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s in government and public policy from EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia.
