On Tuesday, December 9, the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense at the Atlantic Council will host its latest meeting, diving into vulnerabilities in the global supply chains for medical countermeasures.

Such countermeasures, including vaccines, therapeutics, and personal protective equipment, are vital for facing biological threats. Thus, this meeting of the Commission will discuss how countries, states, and local communities can maintain (and distribute) strategic stockpiles of such countermeasures. The discussions will also touch upon policies and strategies to enhance domestic manufacturing of such medical products and to secure international supply lines against disruption by adversaries and other events.

New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival. We highly encourage pre-registration by 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, December 8.
