Thomas Winter is a 2025-2026 Veterans Advanced Energy fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center and an associate in Lazard’s Power, Energy & Infrastructure group. In his role at Lazard, Winter advises on transactions across the energy value chain, including natural gas supply and logistics, electrical infrastructure, energy services, renewable generation (solar, wind, and storage), and critical supply chain companies, among others.
Prior to joining Lazard, Winter served in the US Army as a Special Forces intelligence sergeant. As part of the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Carson, Colorado, Winter served multiple deployments to Ukraine and Afghanistan.
Winter is a member of Project Vanguard, Veterans in Energy, and American Legion Post 754 in New York City.
Winter holds a bachelor of arts in Middle Eastern studies (Arabic) and Spanish from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
