The Wall Street Journal quotes Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center Resident Senior Fellow Anders Åslund on the European Union’s aid commitments to Ukraine:
Anders Aslund, a senior fellow at the Washington-based think tank Atlantic Council, says Ukraine will need some $7 billion in aid pledges from its partners through 2016. He said Europe may have to pick up $5 billion of that. But the European Commission’s budget is already stretched, so money may have to come from bilateral loans or other sources.
