Henry Shuldiner

Henry Shuldiner is an associate director at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, where he leads the security and Venezuela portfolios.

Before joining the Council, Shuldiner was an investigative journalist with InSight Crime based in Bogota, Colombia. He has reported throughout Latin America, covering organized crime, transnational criminal groups, corruption, human rights violations, drug trafficking, illegal gold mining, and other illicit economies. He previously worked at Freedom House, where he helped manage the Colombia and Venezuela programs. In 2019, he was the recipient of a Fulbright fellowship to Colombia.

Shuldiner holds an MA in international relations with concentrations in Latin American and Caribbean studies from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He also holds a BA in literature from Hamilton College. He is a native English speaker and is fluent in Spanish.
