Nadia Mohamed

Nadia Mohamed is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow and a public servant and community leader currently serving as mayor of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. In this role, she leads on municipal governance, budget oversight, and complex policy decisions, with a focus on building public trust and navigating diverse community perspectives during moments of change and uncertainty. In addition to her elected role, Mohamed works in Minnesota state government supporting leadership development and workforce training for public-sector professionals. Her work centers on organizational culture, culturally responsive leadership, and strengthening systems that serve children, families, and communities across the state. Mohamed brings a global and local lens shaped by her lived experience as an immigrant and her leadership at the intersection of government, community engagement, and public service. She is pursuing a master of public affairs at the University of Minnesota, where her academic interests include governance, leadership, and public institutions. She is committed to leadership that is grounded, people-centered, and responsive to real-world challenges, and to advancing spaces where dialogue, dignity, and accountability can coexist.
