Anna Wieslander, Director for Northern Europe, appeared on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon on September 8 to comment on the opening of Poland’s International Defence Industry Exhibition and the country’s role on NATO’s eastern flank. She also discussed the broader security situation in Europe amid intensified Russian hybrid warfare.
Reflecting on the war in Ukraine, Wieslander highlighted that Russia has adapted its ways of warfare. “There are now attacks around the clock, increasingly targeting civilian areas. This is a change that we are seeing”, Wieslander said, adding that the overall situation Europe is also very tense and is “not heading toward the right direction”.
