On March 29, the Atlantic Council’s EuroGrowth Initiative hosted a private roundtable discussion with H.E. Nikos Pappas, Greek Minister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media and Chief Strategist to Prime Minsiter Alexis Tsipras. 

The discussion centered on the current issues facing Greece and the European Union (EU):

  • Minister Pappas stressed that Europeans effectively live in a Europe of multiple speeds already, and insisted on the necessity to improve intergovernmental processes of cooperation and solidarity between member states.
  • The discussion also centered on the evolution of the Greek economy in recent months. Minister Pappas focused on the improving fiscal and employment data and expressed confidence in the improved economy.
