With the deadline for reaching a political framework over Iran's nuclear program just hours away, the United States and its partners are scrambling to complete a document that will summarize key concessions on both sides. Yet the talks may be stymied by sticking points including the fate of nuclear fuel stockpiles, the number of centrifuges Iran is allowed to maintain, the extent of permitted research and development, and the timeline for sanctions relief. Will these challenges affect the ability of the P5+1 and Iran to finalize technical understandings and reach a comprehensive deal ahead of a June 30 deadline? How will this agreement be implemented? And what will happen if the talks fail?

Please join the Atlantic Council's Barbara Slavin and former Ambassador to the United Nations Thomas Pickering for a members/press call Wednesday, April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the outcome of the Iranian nuclear talks in Lausanne, Switzerland. Rafik Hariri Center Vice President and Director Francis Ricciardone will moderate.
