We regret to inform you that this event has been postponed. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your interest in Atlantic Council’s events.

On Friday, March 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council will host a conversation with European Commission Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security, and Democracy Henna Virkkunen.

The connection between the United States and the European Union (EU) is underpinned by strong economic, digital, and technological interlinkages. In today’s geopolitical and competitive environment, both sides of the Atlantic face the need to ensure greater economic security, national security, and economic competitiveness. Yet the United States and the EU may have differing approaches and philosophies to achieve those ends. Questions remain on how transatlantic partners can work together as they navigate this era of great power competition and the convergence of geopolitics, economics, and technology policy.

Against this backdrop, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Henna Virkkunen joins the Atlantic Council for a discussion on the value of transatlantic cooperation and her expanded portfolio on digital and tech issues.
