On November 21, the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center hosted a virtual fireside chat with Josu Jon Imaz, chief executive officer of Repsol. The conversation was moderated by Frederick Kempe, president and chief executive officer of the Atlantic Council, and explored the evolving landscape of transatlantic energy security, climate policy, and competitiveness under new European and US leadership.

Additionally, Jon Imaz provided insights into how Repsol, a global energy company, is navigating the evolving policy landscape and the broader US-European investment ecosystems. The fireside chat also touched on how Repsol is working to reduce oil and gas emissions while diversifying its assets into renewables and other low-carbon solutions. Jon Imaz examined the implications of geopolitical developments and ongoing conflicts on the organization’s broader strategies as well as corresponding global risk management mechanisms.
