On Tuesday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center will host a discussion examining the latest battlefield and diplomatic developments in Ukraine.
The successful Ukrainian drone strike, Operation Spiderweb, on Russian bombers and intelligence aircraft stunned the world and once again showcased Ukraine’s advancing battlefield capabilities while casting greater doubt on Russia’s ability to achieve victory in the war. At the same time, the Trump administration has grown increasingly frustrated by Russia’s rejection of several ceasefire proposals. Meanwhile, there is growing pressure amongst Republicans in the Senate to punish Putin for his obstructions.
Join this virtual conversation, moderated by Ambassador John Herbst, to explore how these latest developments affect diplomatic efforts to end the war, where the Trump administration may be heading on Ukraine and Russia, and Moscow’s anticipated summer offensive.
