Iranian graphic design and contemporary art in general have garnered increasingly favorable attention in recent years. Iranian artists have rediscovered and reimagined the ancient art of calligraphy, in particular, in dramatic and appealing ways.

The Future of Iran Initiative invites you to a film about the work of one of Iran’s most celebrated graphic designers, Mehdi Saeedi, and a discussion of the contemporary art scene in Iran.
