Get up to speed on the most recent developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

On Monday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center will host a discussion examining the most recent developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Péter Magyar’s victory over Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has removed a key obstacle to European support for Ukraine, paving the way for the European Union’s approval in April of a $106 billion loan to Kyiv. At the same time, Ukraine has continued to advance its “drone diplomacy,” with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy securing agreements on drone warfare expertise and arms production with partners across Europe and the Middle East, even as peace negotiations with Russia remain stalled. On the battlefield, Ukraine has intensified its strategic strikes against Russia’s oil industry, aiming to degrade Moscow’s war economy while demonstrating Kyiv’s expanding operational reach.

This conversation will unpack these developments and discuss what comes next.
