On Tuesday, September 22 at 5:30 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Syria Project will host Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, for an Atlantic Council Front Page conversation as part of our AC in New York programming on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
Syria is navigating a pivotal transition as it works to rebuild state institutions, revive its economy, attract international investment, and deepen its engagement with the United States and the broader region.
In this conversation, Al-Sharaa will discuss his vision for Syria’s future and his government’s priorities for reconstruction, economic recovery, and institutional reform. He will also address the evolving US-Syria relationship, efforts to strengthen state institutions, and Syria’s continued regional reintegration.
This event is hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Syria Project, which advances policy engagement and international partnerships during Syria’s political transition through its work on US-Syria relations, economic growth and energy, governance, and regional reintegration.
