On September 19, the Atlantic Council IN TURKEY organized a roundtable featuring H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey, during the United Nations General Assembly Week in New York. The roundtable discussion centered around the Turkish economy and Turkey’s recently unveiled medium-term economic program aimed at reducing inflation and fostering growth. The roundtable was moderated by Atlantic Council IN TURKEY & Turkey Programs Senior Director Defne Arslan. Atlantic Council President & CEO Fred Kempe delivered introductory. The roundtable covered Turkey’s monetary and fiscal policy, as well as its business and investment climate.
