The Atlantic Council—in partnership with Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP)—hosted a conference addressing the opportunities for civil nuclear cooperation between the US and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 in Washington, DC.
This public conversation highlighted the role of civil nuclear cooperation between the US and the Republic of Korea. The panel discussions addressed the potential for greater cooperation between the two countries in tripling nuclear power generation by 2050, developing the nuclear energy workforce of the future, and deploying the next generation of nuclear energy technologies.
