Adam Stubits was the Atlantic Council’s director, operations with 15+ years of non-profit, academic, and government leadership experience. In 2017, he joined the University of Virginia as the first-ever director of the Rotunda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and LEED-certified facility. He soon gained additional responsibilities as director for Operations and Events where he provided strategic leadership, including facilities management, customer service, and programming for 300,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space across 15 venues.
Prior to UVA, Adam held roles of increasing responsibility at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, ultimately serving as the director of Support Operations and a member of the organization’s leadership team. Under his leadership, the Center initiated a strategy for the organization’s preventative maintenance and capital projects, modernized and renovated its event and office space, implemented key safety and security infrastructure improvements, and engaged in a process to discover its core values.
In addition to his operations leadership at the Wilson Center, Adam also collaborated with academics and thought leaders on publications and programming focused on issues of citizen security and democracy in Latin America.
