Europe & EurasiaAna Lejava is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow and a senior policy officer at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security, where she works on global policy analysis and advocacy and oversees key initiatives, including the institute’s peacebuilder networks and the coordination of a high-level global women leaders network advancing democracy, peace, and gender equality. Lejava’s expertise spans Black Sea security, regional connectivity in Eastern Europe, and US foreign policy toward the region. Previously, she served as young ambassador of Georgia to the US and as an adviser at the Permanent Mission of Georgia to the United Nations, contributing to multilateral policy efforts on sustainable development, regional security, and human rights. Lejava holds a master of arts in Eurasian, Russian, and East European affairs from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, along with a certificate in international business diplomacy.
