Anand Raghuraman is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center. He is also a director of global public policy at Mastercard, where he helps shape the company’s thought leadership and global government engagement strategy at the intersection of geopolitics, digital trust, and digital trade. Prior to joining Mastercard, Raghuraman was vice president at the Asia Group, an international advisory firm. In this capacity, he helped lead the firm’s client servicing and market expansion in South Asia and advised multinationals navigating India’s dynamic technology policy landscape. 

At the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center, Raghuraman served on the US-India Digital Economy Task Force and published commentary on US-India trade and technology cooperation. He also supports the Center’s flagship US-India Trade Initiative.

Previously, Raghuraman was a member of the Biden-Harris campaign’s South Asia Policy Working Group and a Fulbright grantee based in Turkey. Raghuraman graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
