Aurélie Vittot is a visiting fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center. Before her current role, Vittot worked for the French Ministry of Armed Forces’ Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy. 

Vittot graduated from Sciences Po Paris and earned a PhD in political science. Vittot has held several positions within the French administration: at the Ministry of Overseas Territories, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Armed Forces. Her research focuses on French foreign policy, the strengthening of European defense since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 (military mobility, European defense industrial and technological base, European Union missions and operations, etc.), and the European pillar of NATO.

As a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris, Vittot joined the thirty-third class of the War College (Paris) in September 2025.
