Bahar Ozdemir

Bahar Ozdemir is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow and an infrastructure and energy leader working at the intersection of technology, finance, and public policy. She currently focuses on securing and developing power infrastructure to support large-scale digital infrastructure growth at Amazon Web Services. Previously, Ozdemir worked across engineering, infrastructure investment banking at Macquarie Capital, and private equity at I Squared Capital and EQT, where she deployed capital across transportation, logistics, liquefied natural gas, and power sectors. She has served on the boards of FlexiVan and Star Leasing and founded an industrial-focused microgrid startup in Miami. Ozdemir holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Turkey, a master’s degree from Columbia University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is also a mentor at Endeavor, supporting high-impact entrepreneurs. Her interests center on the long-term challenge of building reliable, affordable, and sustainable infrastructure systems that enable economic growth while strengthening local communities.
