Brenda Estefan is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center. She is also a lecturer, professor of international politics at the IPADE Business School, and a columnist for outlets such as Reforma, Americas Quarterly, and Opinión 51.
She holds a degree in international relations from Universidad Iberoamericana and a master’s degree in development management from the London School of Economics. Her career includes serving as an attaché for Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior at the Mexican embassy in the United States and consulting for the Inter-American Development Bank. She has also held roles such as principal advisor for International Cooperation at Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior and chief of staff to the president of Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies.
Estefan is fluent in six languages and has been a speaker at various high-level forums, including Harvard University and the Center for Homeland Defense and Security. Her analyses on international politics are frequently cited in both national and international media.
