Erica Tillotson is a special assistant in the Office of International Affairs at the US Department of Energy. Erica developed and executed the office’s digital communications strategy and grew social media presence exponentially to amplify strategic topics such as energy security, public private partnerships, and US government involvement with international partner organizations such as the International Energy Agency (IEA).

Previously, Erica served as a legislative and intergovernmental affairs specialist at the US Department of Commerce before joining the Department of Energy in October 2019.

Prior to joining the administration, Erica served as a legislative intern for former Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan and former Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Erica additionally worked as a government affairs associate at Aetna insurance and on numerous political campaigns in her home state of Massachusetts. Erica graduated in 2018 with a BA in Government and a minor in History from Georgetown University.
