Grace is an applied research scientist at Element AI, a ServiceNow company. Grace has been in Montreal since graduate school, where her research at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) focused on algorithmic discrimination in consumer finance.

Before that, Grace served as a Policy Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Office of International Affairs (OIA), where she coordinated policy on emerging technologies and supported bilateral engagements in South Asia. Prior to government service, Grace managed public policy and multi-stakeholder strategy for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), based in their Washington, DC office.

Grace has a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, and a master’s degree from MIT.
